Perfect Day

Yesterday was my next-to-last day in Atlanta, and after spending the morning and early afternoon on a conference call and then finishing up a huge proposal, I hopped in the car with a pal to go visit the most beautiful place on earth: Amicalola Falls.

We started like this:
and wandered through paths like these:

saw ourselves in the reflecting pool and climbed a LOT of stairs:

Until we made it to the top!

We visited the lodge and watched the sun set over the mountains.
Not too shabby! I ask you: where is there a prettier place in this whole wide world? Where?!
